Art of The Hook and Needle Exclusive Design Tool Bags

It has been awhile since I have blogged about Red Heart Sparkle Scrubby.  For those that have not worked the medium yet,  it is a staple item in the stash and is a hit all around.   I make all of my dish clothes with this medium.  It became an annual popular item to gift giving in the family during the holidays.  The great features is the lightweight and fast drying capabilities.  It works well on pots and pans!  However we are not here today to discuss horrible house chores!  

Today we will be treating ourselves or even making quick last minute gifts.  I designed this knit pattern to fit around the hand and over your favorite exfoliating scrub or cleanser.  I wish you could feel it, it is an amazing medium to help take the mask off and is not too abrasive.  I love that you can machine wash and tumble dry.  This Knit pattern is simple / beginner.

Supplies Needed  :

• 1. Size 8 Needles - When knitting this medium aluminum works best!  My favorite interchangeable set  is  Prism Aluminum Options Interchangeable Circular Set 
• 2 Your favorite Red Heart Scrubby Sparkle Color.  This is a staple item in my stash and keep every colorway to make dish clothes as well.  The colors used in my samples are: Ice Pop, Grape, Oyster, and Watermelon.  
• 3 Darning Needles - I have a convenient 20pc Kit.  It has every size needed for all your weaving and sewing needs and comes in a convenient tube to fit in your tool accessory bags.  Basic sewing will occur in this pattern.

Pattern: 

1. Cast on 25 (small) or 35 (large) 

2. Knit/Purl alternating rows to length of 4.5" inches

*You can just Knit all rows(garter) to complete faster.  This medium does show stitch very slightly.  If you look at the grey one in photo- that one is knit/purl.  All the remainder colors done in garter.

3. Cast off

4. Weave in beginning/ending tails.  Tip if you make this long enough (8") you could use them for the next sewing steps.

5. Fold in Half wrong side facing.  Whip stitch sides together and then bottom. 

6.  Turn inside out for finish

This was a fun quick knit project!  The scrub on the medium is perfect to use for facial cleansing.  I would describe it as light abrasive.  As you will see below, the cozy fits on the hand perfectly as well as the preferred scrub or cleanser.
